These are a collection of drawings depicting the Sphinx in various forms. The large cat body to indicate power and endurance, and upon the body the breasts and head of a woman. The head was to indicate human intelligence and reason, while the breasts indicated that Man and Animal could draw spiritual and mental nourishment each from the other.
